Flower Pot Card

I have seen Flower Pot cards before in card making magazines - I think it was a British magazine - Paper Crafting and Card Making. Recently came across this card on FaceBook and found the tutorial for one as seen below:

Now I found an even easier way of making these cards, and that was from Karen on Stamping on the Back Porch. She showed how to do this on her Thursday Live session. Apparently it is a very old card design which has been around for a long, long time. NEW TO ME

Found Karens' explanation  much simpler. Here is my understanding of it:

1. Use a full sheet of card stock (can make 2 cards from this) cut card base at 8 1/2 X 4

2. Score on the long side at 3 1/2 and 7 fold over to make the top of the pot

3. Cut  1/2 on each end of the bottom up to the top to make the flower pot shape

4. Separately have a piece of card stock that measures 2 3/4 X 4 3/4 this is the message flower(s) that go in the flower pot. Decorate this part to fit the top of the card

5. Use glue dots, adhesive strips or foam to attach the piece to secure the message(flower) portion
